Women's Transportation Seminar - Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter

To encourage women pursuing careers in transportation, the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of WTS awards at least six local scholarships to graduate, undergraduate, community college, and high school students. Qualifications: Applicants must be minority candidates; past applicants have backgrounds in civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering, as well as urban planning, public policy, public safety, and emergency response; any students that may be eligible; eligible universities: Dallas Baptist University, LeTourneau University, Paul Quinn College, Southern Methodist University, Tarleton State University, Texas Christian University, Texas Wesleyan University, University of Dallas, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, other universities in North Texas; eligible community/junior colleges and trade Schools: Collin County Community College, Dallas County Community College District, Hill College, Navarro College, Northeast Texas Community College, Weatherford College, Brown Mackie College (Dallas), Lincoln College of Technology (Grand Prairie), Tarrant County College, Remington College (Dallas, Fort Worth), Strayer University (Cedar Hill, Fort Worth, North Dallas), other schools in North Texas; if applicants are working on a degree related to transportation through a university, community/junior college, or trade school that is not mentioned above, but has a DFW location are eligible to apply. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the applicant’s specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills, and academic record. How to apply: Applicants must submit application form.
