To assist students from rural areas, particularly those who are among the first generation in their families to attend college. Qualifications: Applicants must reside in Caledonia county (preference given to applicants who are residents of Peacham and/or are among the first generation in their families to attend college); must seek an undergraduate degree; must enroll at least half time; demonstrate financial need; demonstrate education/work ethic; must attend an accredited school approved for federal title iv funding (pell grants, federal direct loans); students attending (or planning to attend) a college, university or training program within the United States or Canada who are: United States citizens (or eligible non-citizens); be Vermont residents. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on essay, recommendation letter, and financial need.
