To support exceptional El Dorado High School graduating seniors who plan to pursue postsecondary education. Qualifications: Eligible students must be graduating seniors from El Dorado High School who have demonstrated academic excellence and proficiency in at least one discipline in the fine arts, athletics, and/or music. Selection criteria: Selection criteria include, but are not limited to, academic merit, character, leadership ability, and financial need. Preference given to students who have participated in three or more of the following: drama, soccer, band, jazz band, community/volunteer service, and part-time employment. How to apply: Application must be completed through the online portal. Applicant must submit cumulative high school or college transcript through the most recent term which must include either ACT or SAT scores; two letters of recommendation, one from a school official and one from an adult other than a family member; a single page typewritten essay demonstrating how experiences and relationships through high school have deepened the student’s moral values, broadened their understanding of cultural diversity, and heightened their awareness of the human spirit.
