To provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to attend a trade school, technical school or community college and obtain an associate degree, diploma, or certificate. Qualifications: Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a trade or vocational field; must be the child, grandchild or legal ward of a South Central Power member receiving service for the duration of the past year-next year academic year and reside in the home of the respective member within the cooperative’s service territory; students may not be immediate family members of a South Central Power Company Foundation Board member; immediate family members include son, daughter, or grandchildren; must be graduating seniors who have all basic credits and plan to attend a vocation or career-technical school; must have a current cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale; accepted applicants must attend an accredited vocational, career-technical school or community college.
