To help students who have demonstrated academic excellence pay for college. Qualifications: Applicants must be high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence in the classroom as well as involvement in school activities; must be high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree at an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution; must be graduating high school seniors who have all basic credits for entering a college, university or a post-secondary institution and the intention to pursue a 4-year degree; must have a current cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale; accepted applicants must attend an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution; must be the child, grandchild or legal ward of a South Central Power member receiving service for the duration of the academic year and reside in the home of the respective member within the cooperative's service territory; students may not be immediate family members of a South Central Power Company Foundation Board member; immediate family members include son, daughter, or grandchildren.
