To recognize outstanding high school graduates by providing financial assistance in order that they may accomplish their future financial management Baccalaureate educational goals. Qualifications: Applicant must be an outstanding graduating high school senior in the final half of his/her school year, or a high school graduate within the last six months of the application deadline; must reside in the southwestern part of Ohio or must be a graduate from a high school located in the southwestern part of Ohio and be seeking a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university the Summer or Fall period immediately following their graduation. Selection criteria: A selection panel, comprised of the ASMC Aviation Chapter Scholarship Committee Chairperson and ASMC Aviation Chapter Members, will review all applications received and make final selections; basis of applicant's career and academic goals, scholastic achievements, leadership ability, and extracurricular activities will be considered and must be documented in letters of recommendation and summarized on the ASMC Aviation Chapter Scholarship Form. How to apply: Applicant must submit online application; should include a minimum of two letters of recommendation from: high school principal or academic dean; a high school teacher; additionally, letters of recommendation from other individuals cognizant of the nominees' achievements in school, or in the community will also be accepted; letters of recommendation must include leadership abilities, extra curricular activities in school and/or community, career goals, academic goals, and why the applicant deserves the scholarship; an official high school transcript.
