To help students majoring in the creative writing field and who have demonstrated creative writing ability and passion. Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating high school senior or currently enrolled undergraduate four-year college students; attending or attended high school in San Mateo County or Santa Clara County; demonstrated passion and ability for creative writing; full-time enrollment at four-year college or university. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include letters can be up to 800 words in length; the body of the letter should include: letter-writer’s relationship to the applicant; length of time they have known the individual; why they recommend the applicant for this particular scholarship; why they believe the applicant will be successful in their academic goals; any additional information about the applicant that should be considered.
