To provide scholarships to high school seniors and graduates from select Texas counties affected by the 2025 Texas flood and who plan to pursue degrees that will help them contribute to preventing such tragedies in the future. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate who attended high school in the Texas counties of Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, San Saba, Tom Green, Travis, or Williamson. Applicant must plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the upcoming academic year; must be planning to pursue a degree in atmospheric science, civil engineering, climate change, construction engineering and management, environmental engineering, geology, geotechnical engineering, mechanical engineering, meteorology, or structural engineering. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academics, work experience, participation and leadership in school and community, statement of educational and career goals, online recommendation, and two essays. How to apply: Applicant must complete the online application and submit current transcripts and two essays. Applicant must have an online recommendation submitted on their behalf.
