To provide scholarships to customers and their dependents who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in trade programs or STEM fields. Qualifications: Applicant must be a U.S. resident who lives within the Alliant Energy Service area at the time of application (Iowa and Wisconsin); must be a dependent child of a current customer in good standing or a current customer in good standing of one of Alliant Energy’s utility subsidiaries (Interstate Power and Light Co. or Wisconsin Power and Light Co.); must be 24 years old or younger and attending college for the first time in an undergraduate trade program or STEM field; must be attending an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school located within the Alliant Energy Corporation service territory (Iowa and Wisconsin) for the entire academic year; must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection criteria: Selection is based on chosen field of study, academic GPA, demonstrated leadership in community service or volunteer activities, and the content of essay.
