To recognize seniors living in Clark County, NV who have attended SVHS for four years. Qualifications: Applicants must have a 3.4 or higher unweighted GPA, be involved in school activities, participate in community service (minimum 20 hours), and have had no disciplinary offenses; full-time enrollment at an accredited Nevada trade school, college, or university is required. How to apply: Applicants must submit an essay (500 words or less) on what the applicant plans to do with their life based upon the skills and knowledge acquired at Spring Valley High School; most current transcript (unofficial); resume; a letter of recommendation from a community service organization that speaks to the applicant’s community service/volunteerism; a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, administrator, coach, or advisor. Focus: Public service.
