Award: $500 – $1000

To honor service to the association. Qualifications: Applicant must be PIA member; one parent/guardian or grandparent must be a PIA of Arkansas member or a tenured (minimum 2 years) employee of a PIA agent; must maintain at least a 2.50 cumulative grade point average in college; must stay in school throughout the semester with at least 12 credit hours; high school seniors must also complete Section I and II; current college students must complete Section I and III; college or university must be an accredited 2 or 4-year institution of higher learning. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on extracurricular activities, community service or job experience. How to apply: Application must be submit current photo; provide the names and addresses of two persons not related to you that may be used for references; one must be a professor; attach an essay of at least 200 words describing the benefits of pursuing college degree; must be typewritten. Focus: Insurance and insurance-related fields.
