To provide financial assistance to law students who show interest in practicing law in the Peoria area and part of a minority group that is historically underrepresented in the legal profession. Qualifications: Applicants must be one of the following for the current pr previous academic year: an entering first-year law student; a second-year law student; a third-year law student; the Applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America; must have a four-year college degree or be expected to obtain a college degree by the end of the spring current year semester; must have been accepted to or have an application to law school pending; before the scholarship funds are distributed to the school of the applicant, the recipient will be required to demonstrate admission to an accredited law school, or, if already a law student, successful completion of the first year of law school.
