To support residents of Molokai who are pursuing undergraduate degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum GPA 2.5; sophomore-level standing or higher (30+ college credits); must be a current residents of the island of Molokai. Selection criteria: Completed applications submitted by the program deadline date and time are reviewed according to specific fund criteria; applications are sent to individual selection committees for review and selections. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application, which includes: One personal statement essay and one list of extracurricular/community service activities; school transcript (complete with final grade information); current high school seniors attending Kamehameha Schools only: One letter of recommendation; supplemental documents such as LORs, FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) and art portfolios; demonstrate financial need, Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Essay explaining how a career in one of these fields will help make a difference in community and family; also submit two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher or counselor and one from a community organization or other citing how the applicant is working toward perpetuating the Hawaiian language, Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
