To provide financial assistance to qualified law students intending to pursue their studies. Qualifications: Applicant must be a resident, student, or graduate of a college or university in one of the following states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, Nebraska, or New Mexico. Selection criteria: Selection is based on academic proficiency, extracurricular achievement, and demonstrated capacity for public service. How to apply: Applicants must complete the application form and submit along with: Two letters of recommendation; Aspiration and life challenges that further the democratic process as expressed in the essay response; School activities and extracurricular activities that show involvement in the democratic process; Academic record; Demonstrated leadership potential.
