To support eligible American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Technology (Associate of Applied Science). Qualifications: Applicants must be an enrolled member or a descendant of a federally or state-recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native group; must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Technology (Associate of Applied Science); must have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on merit. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; must include native forward scholars fund personal profile; tribal eligibility certificate (TEC) completed by the tribal enrollment office; financial needs form (FNF) completed by the institution’s Financial Aid Office; most recent academic transcript, essay(s) (specific to each scholarship), one academic reference, and one community/leadership reference. Focus: Veterinary science and medicine.
