To promote the study of our country's history among our finest students. U.S. Citizens residing abroad may apply through a Units Overseas Chapter. Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating high school students who will pursue an undergraduate degree with a concentrated study of a minimum of 24 credit hours in American History and American Government; must maintenance of a GPA of 3.25; U.S citizens residing abroad also eligible. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; basis of academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. How to apply: Applicants must be submit a online application form; should include essay of 1,000 words or less setting forth applicants career objectives; official transcript is not needed at the time of application; college undergraduate, graduate or medical student, include a copy of applicants college transcript(s); major must be indicated on applicants transcript if a specific major is required; an official transcript is not needed at the time of application: name must appear on their transcript; at least two, but not more than four letters of recommendation; a one-page resume must be included; a copy of applicants proof of United States citizenship: birth certificate, naturalization papers, or information page of United States Passport must be included.
