To recognize an outstanding female Italian American undergraduate student majoring in Italian, English, literature or journalism. Qualifications: Applicants must have an active NIAF membership; be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education on a full time basis for the Fall previous semester; have a GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 (or the equivalent); (Some scholarships require a lower GPA for eligibility; students in a pass-fail system are also eligible.); be a United States Citizen or permanent resident alien; have Italian American ancestry.; to be considered Italian American, the student must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy; this student must have a GPA of 3.5 (or the equivalent) or higher. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on financial need of an applicant into account along with academic merit. How to apply: Applications must be submit online letters of recommendation. Focus: English language and literature; Italian studies; Journalism; Literature.
