To support undergraduate students majoring in accounting. Qualifications: Applicants must be an accounting major at a 4-year Mississippi college/university; must be Mississippi resident; must have at least 6 hours of accounting courses above the principles/introductory level and classified as junior in preparation for the senior year; must submit application timely. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic excellence (minimum of 3.0 GPA both overall and accounting, ACT score); campus involvement, written essay, financial need. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; must include the following documents to the chair of the accounting department or designee: undergraduate student scholarship application form signed and dated, one-page essay explaining why applicants plan a career in accounting, transcript of all college work through the spring semester of the current year, publicity photography (head shot) in electronic format. Focus: Accounting.
