To grant scholarships to deserving students from Michigan high schools that are members of MCBA. Qualifications: Applicant must be a high school senior who is a member of a MCBA member marching band; the applicant must indicate that he/she is planning to enter a college or university and major in music or a major in a music related course of study. Selection criteria: Selection criteria include: grade point averages, past honors and awards, previous music training, and participation in solo and ensemble venues.
