To support Elgin and North Union basketball athletes who are pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates; Applicants must have attended Elgin or North Union High School for at least two years; Applicants must have received a varsity letter in high school basketball; Applicants must have a high school GPA of at least 3.0 or a college GPA of at least 2.5; Applicants must not be related to Jan Gentzler or Donna Flach. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic merit, athletic participation, and preference for students from North Union in even-numbered years and Elgin in odd-numbered years. Additional consideration will be given to first-generation college students. How to apply: Application must be completed online and submitted along with all necessary documentation.
