MAES: Latinos in Science and Engineering
Deadline: March 31.
To increase the number of Latino students completing their higher education goals. Qualifications: Applicants must be MAES Student Members in good standing; must be 18 years of age or older by the deadline stated above; must be enrolled as a full time student for the upcoming fall semester/quarter; must be undergraduate student classification is twelve (12) credit hours; graduate student classification is nine (9) credit hours; students on internship/co-op must show proof of enrollment in the internship/co-op program; students enrolled in community colleges must be enrolled in transferable majors to an institution offering BS/BA Degrees; have a minimum GPA of 2.0/4.0; must be pursuing a S.T.E.M. degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) at an accredited U.S. university or community college; medical sciences, nursing, and social sciences will not be considered; must be U.S. citizens. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on panel of professional MAES' members and academic achievement, financial need, leadership, community service, and personal merits. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include personal statement; a letter of recommendation (from a professor or someone in academia); provide an official College/University Transcript and a resume with the application.
