To promote paralegal student enrolled in an institutionally accredited Louisiana paralegal program. Qualifications: Applicant must be currently enrolled in an institutionally accredited paralegal program in Louisiana which offers a curriculum of at least sixty (60) semester hours; applicant must have an overall grade point average of at least a 3.0, and must be enrolled in a minimum of six hours of paralegal studies; applicant must be planning on a future career as a paralegal; membership in LSPA is not mandatory. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the members of the LSPA Scholarship Committee and the LSPA Board of Directors. How to apply: Applicants must be submit a application form through online; the following items must be submitted to the Scholarship Chair on or before the posted deadline in order for your application to be considered: certified copy of each college transcript, including that of your current paralegal program; copy of your current course schedule; three (3) letters of reference from the following sources: paralegal program instructor(s), the Paralegal Program Administrator, or your employer(s) (at least one letter of reference must be from one of your Paralegal Program Instructors) and any applications received after this date will not be considered; submit your original completed application, required attachments. Focus: Paralegal studies.
