To support students seeking STEM degrees and help to close the skill gap in the current American job market. Qualifications: Applicants must be students who will major or are majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math); must be High school students who have been accepted to college and students who are currently enrolled in a college or university are eligible; students must be currently enrolled in a U.S.-based high school or college. Students graduating from high school must plan to attend college during the fall semester in the same year as the application; must be two-year and four-year universities in the United States; must have a minimum GPA of 3.6; past winners are not eligible. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit application form; should include current (unofficial) transcripts; letter of acceptance from the college they intend to attend; one letter of reference must be included in the application; a 500- to 1,000-word essay; the essay must be written in response to the prompt. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics and mathematical sciences; Science; Technology.
