To support the education and research program of promising graduate students in crystallography-related fields. Qualifications: Applicant should be a graduate student enrolled in a graduate degree program during the current year calendar year, with a major interest in the following: crystallography e.g. crystal structure analysis; crystal morphology; modulated structures; correlation of atomic structure with physical properties; systematic classification of crystal structures; phase identification; students with a graduation date prior to previous July are NOT eligible for the scholarship award. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria and proposal (impact, innovativeness, originality, efficacy of approach, and relationship to crystallography) and the student (recommendation letter, educational track record, prior work and/or research, honors, awards and professional activities). How to apply: Applicants must submit online nomination form; font Size: 12 point; Margin: no smaller than 3/4 inch; a description of the candidate's proposed research (limit 2 pages) including: purpose and rationale for the research; proposed methodology to be used in the study; references and/or descriptions of the scientific background for the proposed research; a curriculum vitae (limit 2 pages) including: educational preparation (institutions, dates, degrees obtained and in progress, and particularly pertinent coursework); awards, honors received; any research publications and/or presentations given; any work experience (dates, employers, positions); professional activities, memberships.
