To increase the number of scientists to meet research needs in occupational health and safety. Qualifications: Applicants must meet each of the following conditions: Canadians or permanent residents of Canada, eligible for RAMQL: on the competition closing date, have a valid Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) card or proof of eligibility for RAMQ and have Canadian citizenship within the meaning of the Citizenship Act (RSC 40 years before, c. C-29) or permanent resident status in Canada within the meaning of the immigration and refugee protection Act (SC 24 years before, c. 27); or permanent resident status of Canada within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (SC 24 years before, c. 27); foreign candidates: carry out the doctoral program for which the scholarship is requested in Quebec, under the supervision or co-supervision of an IRSST researcher; be registered full-time no later than January 15, after two year in one of the following programs: a doctoral program leading to the degree of Ph.D; a research-type postgraduate program (to be considered “research-type,” the doctoral program must consist of a minimum of 36 credits dedicated to research and lead to the writing of a thesis); a person admitted to the doctorate after bachelor's studies or who makes an accelerated transition to the doctorate must apply to the master's scholarship program for the first two years of graduate studies; it is only after the second year that they become eligible for the doctoral scholarship; a candidate who is on sabbatical leave or study leave with a salary representing more than 50% of their basic salary is not eligible; however, a candidate who receives deferred salary is not subject to this restriction; a person cannot obtain a second IRSST scholarship for the same university cycle. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; judged when evaluating the scientific quality of a new application: candidate performance-8/20; scientific quality of the project-8/20; quality and relevance of the host environment-4/20. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; copies of official transcripts; a letter of recommendation (maximum two pages) written by the research director; research director and, where applicable, the co-director, the personal CV (or Canadian CV); the CV must contain the following information: training, areas of expertise, academic affiliation, number of publications, selection of the 5 most relevant publications related to the candidate's research project; each CV must be limited to a maximum of 3 pages. Focus: Occupational safety and health.
