To support a local student and passionate writer who plans to pursue postsecondary education or a writing program. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in Homer Foundation's service area (southern Kenai Peninsula, from Ninilchik south, including the communities on the south shore of Kachemak Bay) with a demonstrated competency and passion for writing, and a dedication to continue writing; must be planning to continue their education at an accredited two or four-year institution, or attend a nationally recognized writing program.
