To help Hawaiian students pursue education degrees. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; major in Education with emphasis on classroom teaching; demonstrate financial need; minimum cumulative GPA 2.8; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Selection criteria: Preference given to applicants with two or more years of classroom teaching experience and who are returning to school; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; non-Traditional students; native Hawaiians students. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required to submit Applicants application.
