To provide scholarships for students from the west side of the island of Hawai'i who are studying Marine Science, Biotechnology, Health Sciences, or Early Childhood Education. Qualifications: Applicants must be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; must demonstrate financial need; must attend a school in the United States; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; donor Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification; include in their personal statement a description of how applicants career may benefit the lives of Hawaii residents upon completing applicants education. Focus: Biological and clinical sciences; Education, Early childhood; Health sciences; Oceanography.
