To provide maximum flexibility to meet the philanthropic goals of our donors and the needs of our community. Qualifications: Applicants must demonstrate financial need; Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7; Applicants must be residents of the State of Hawaii; Applicants must be senior or graduate level students; Applicants must major in education; Applicants must attend a school within the State of Hawaii. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee members; Selection will be based on continued eligibility, good academic standing, and preference for previous recipients; Preference will also be given to residents from Hawaii Island and students planning to teach or provide counseling within the education system. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required.
