To provide scholarships for students from West Hawaii. Qualifications: Applicants must be demonstrate financial need; attend a two or four-year college or university; resident of West Hawaii county; study in the fields of arts or healthcare including but not limited to: art - theatre, performing arts, journalism, writing, film; healthcare - nursing, general medicine, pharmacy, emergency medicine, midwifery; HCF Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee criteria; Students who are the first in their family to graduate from college (first generation students). How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
