To help students in Hawaii pay for college in the University of Hawaii system. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the state of Hawai'i good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; must be a demonstrate financial need; minimum GPA (grade point average) of 3.1; must be a Full-time student; must be an undergraduate student; enroll at a university of Hawaii system school; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based pursue one semester or one year study abroad program through the university of Hawaii system for students who have not traveled outside of Hawaii. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
