To provide maximum flexibility to meet the philanthropic goals of our donors and the needs of our community. Qualifications: Applicants must be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; Resident of the State of Hawai'i; demonstrate financial need; plan to attend an undergraduate or graduate post high school institution or vocational school; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee criteria; preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing; Preferences (in order of priority): descendants of retired members in good standing with the Hawai'i Carpenter's Union Local 745; descendants of current members of the Hawai'i Carpenter's Union Local 745. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; should include FAFSA submission summary; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required; additional documents: letters of recommendation, SAT/ACT scores for high school seniors, verification of organization affiliations, native Hawaiian ancestry verification.
