To support residents of Kauai, Hawaii, who are pursuing post-secondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the State of Hawaii; demonstrate financial need; must be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; must attend a school in the United States. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee members. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; Refer to our FAQs below to learn more about these essays and documents; In a separate essay on the application, write about the following topic: describe applicants understanding of the meaning of aloha in our multicultural community, including how it has played a part in applicants personal development, and how applicants hope to use applicants chosen field to further this aloha among both family and community; also include in applicants essay the following: a list of relatives who were born in the Koloa District, including their relationship to you, place of birth, and approximate year of birth; how long applicants have lived in the Koloa area.
