To support graduating high school seniors from Damien School, Farrington High School, or Kamehameha - Kapalama School or current college students attending Honolulu Community College. Qualifications: Applicants must be residents of the State of Hawaii; Applicants must demonstrate financial need; Applicants must be graduating high school seniors attending a school in the Kalihi-Palama district or be college students attending Honolulu Community College; Applicants must be Kalihi-Palama residents with zip codes 96817 or 96819; Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum GPA of 3.0; Applicants must attend an accredited two or four year college or university; Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students; Applicants must be full-time students; Applicants must demonstrate good moral character; Applicants must participate in community service projects or activities. Selection criteria: Preference will be given to recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if they continue to meet eligibility requirements and remain in good academic standing.
