To provide financial support to Hawaii public high school graduates attending a four-year college or university. Qualifications: Applicants must be residents of the State of Hawaii; must be graduates of a public high school in Hawaii; must have a minimum GPA of 3.7; must attend a college or university on the continental United States; must be incoming college freshmen; must be full-time undergraduate students; must submit SAT and/or ACT scores; must demonstrate financial need; must submit two letters of recommendation. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on academic excellence, financial need, and potential to benefit from exposure to diverse experiences on the U.S. mainland; will be given to previous recipients who remain eligible and in good academic standing.
