To support the success of Kauai students; the fund targets students who are the first generation in their families to attend college. Qualifications: Applicants must be a resident of the island of Kauai; demonstrate financial need; minimum GPA of 2.5; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA; be a full-time student; attend a two or four-year college or university; first generation in their family to attend college. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee members; preferences students who have been in foster care. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online application form; most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; current cumulative grade point average (gpa); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior year hcf application; letters of recommendation (lor) are not typically required to submit Applicants application.
