To provide maximum flexibility to meet the philanthropic goals of our donors and the needs of our community. Qualifications: Applicants must be residents of the state of Hawaii; Applicants must demonstrate financial need; Applicants must attend an accredited two or four year college or university or vocational training program; Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from a school in Maui County; Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on financial need, academic achievement, and commitment to Maui County. Preference will be given to recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if they continue to meet eligibility requirements and are in good academic standing; additional preference for students who can persevere and complete their program of study and who intend to return to Maui County after completing their education. How to apply: Applicants must submit online; must include the applicant's most recent unofficial grade transcript; any short essays and/or other documents that may be required or recommended for specific scholarships; the applicant's current cumulative grade point average (GPA); transcripts should be as recent as possible and should not be a duplicate from a prior HCF application; letters of recommendation are not typically required to submit the applicant's application.
