To support local students pursuing postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must be High school seniors who meet the GPA requirement and are graduating from the following high schools in Newaygo County, MI: Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo, White Cloud, and home school students who live in Newaygo County; must have GPA of 3.0 to 3.84; must be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary program in the US leading to a baccalaureate or associate degree, or a vocational or technical training program leading to a certificate. Selection criteria: Selection is made based on the student's academic achievements, performance on standardized tests, and evaluation of the student's personal statement and letter of recommendation; scholarship awardees are announced at their high school honors ceremony. How to apply: Application must submit online form and include, student personal statement (consisting of four short answer questions), one letter of recommendation, and a high school counselor grade report.
