El Dorado County Mineral and Gem Society

To provide support to students who are pursuing a degree and/or career in earth sciences, lapidary arts and other related fields at an accredited college or university. Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating of an El Dorado County high school seniors or college, university, or graduate-school students, and pursuing a degree and/or career in earth sciences or lapidary arts at an accredited college or university. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on the committee How to apply: Applicants must submit a online application form along with a current transcript; a personal essay of 300-500 words; and two letters of reference, one of which is from a faculty member and the other from someone who is not a member of the applicant's family. Focus: Earth sciences.
