To recognize law students who demonstrate community service involvement, academic commitment and financial. Qualifications: Applicants must be law students entering their first, second and third year (and evening students entering their fourth year) at an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school are eligible to apply; students working towards their LL.M. degree are also eligible. Selection criteria: Selection based on committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must submit an online application; a typed application completed in its entirety and signed; a copy of the applicant's latest transcript, which may be official or unofficial; students entering their first year of law school should submit an official undergraduate transcript; a resume (two-page limit); a personal statement addressing at least two of the following: why the applicant attended law school, the applicant's biggest challenge and how it was overcome, the applicant's commitment to serve the Latino community, community involvement, and/or commitment to the public interest; up to two optional letters of recommendation that specifically comment on the applicant's academics, professional skills, and/or commitment to public interest and/or community work; all materials must be submitted as one single PDF document.
