Qualifications: Applicants must be non-traditional, minority, and first-generation college students; applicant must be female; be a graduating senior at Guilford High School; be involved in athletics; applicants must provide a reference from an employee or volunteer at the Northwest Community Center. Selection criteria: Applications are read and scored by committees of volunteers who use a "blind" review process and make recommendations to CFNIL's board of trustees; based on various factors: community engagement; academic achievement; financial need; athletic participation; field of study; academic performance will be given moderate consideration in the selection process.
