To provide college scholarships to able and deserving students from the greater Wausau, WI, area. Qualifications: Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from the greater Wausau area (which includes all high schools located within the Wausau and D.C. Everest School Districts); must have a history of volunteerism and service to their community; must demonstrate respect for their parents and the elderly; must plan to attend a four-year college or university as a full-time student in the upcoming school year. How to apply: Application must include a transcript of the most recent grades; a list of extracurricular activities (downloadable form online); two references; and an essay reflecting on how the applicant integrates the words of Matthew 19, “Honor your father and your mother, and love your neighbor as yourself,” into their life, including personal experiences and views on their role in caring for the elderly; application must be completed through the online portal.
