To promote aviation as a career by providing scholarships to students in the Wausau area pursuing degrees in the field. Qualifications: Applicant must reside within a 50-mile radius of the greater Wausau area; must demonstrate a strong desire to pursue a career in aviation; must be able to pass at least a 2nd class FAA medical examination for flight training. (No exam necessary for aviation flight maintenance.). How to apply: Application must include transcript of most recent grades, list of extracurricular activities (downloadable form online), and two references. Application must be completed through online portal. Focus: Aeronautics; Astronautics; Aviation; Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical/Astronautical.
