To support and encourage students from the Medford, WI, area with special educational needs and/or learning disabilities who plan to pursue postsecondary education. Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following sets of selection criteria. First selection level: graduating senior from Medford area (including Medford, Rib Lake, and Gilman high schools); must have special education needs or a learning disability; must be planning to pursue postsecondary education; financial need may be considered. Second selection level: graduating senior from the Medford area who is planning to pursue a career working with people with special needs or learning disabilities; financial need may be considered. Third selection level: hardworking graduating senior from the Medford area planning to pursue postsecondary education; must demonstrate financial need. How to apply: Application must include transcript of most recent grades, list of extracurricular activities (downloadable form online), and two references.
