To help students from a particular school or area, students pursuing a specific field of study, students with significant financial need and many other qualifications. Qualifications: Applicants must be pregnant or parenting teens, living in the State of Tennessee; must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in post-secondary education at an accredited college, university, junior college, technical school, or job-training program as a way to increase their job skills and become more employable; must attend college on a full-time basis in the fall of the year in which the scholarships are awarded and continue in college that entire academic year, barring illness or emergency. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on committee will consider the applicants' academic records, test scores, extracurricular activities, work experience, community involvement, and recommendations about leadership and character; the selection process shall balance merit and financial need and depending on the scholarship, there may be an emphasis on financial need.
