To support a Geneva High School graduate pursuing an undergraduate degree, especially in medicine. Qualifications: Applicant must reside within Geneva District 304 and be a graduating senior or previous graduate of Geneva High School; must be attending or planning to attend a two- or four-year college or university; must have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Selection criteria: Preference is given to graduating high school students planning to pursue careers in medical fields, specifically cardiac research/career path related to cardiology. Preference is also given for applicants who were part of the Geneva High School Cross Country or Track and Field Teams and those of Scandinavian heritage or with an interest in Scandinavian culture. Applicant should also be unselfish, loving, and caring; a hard worker; and engaged in activities that raise awareness about heart conditions. How to apply: Applicant must complete the application through the online portal. Transcripts, SAT and ACT scores (if available), SAI number from FAFSA (if available) and email address of individuals who will supply recommendations are required.
