To support African American students in library and information science. Qualifications: Applicant must be African American and a citizen of the United States or Canada; must be enrolled or accepted by an ALA-accredited graduate program leading to a degree in library and information science at the time of application. How to apply: Applicants must submit online application form; submission should include the applicant’s name, address, phone number, graduate program, name of the school, and anticipated date of graduation; written essay submissions must be 3-5 pages in plain text, Microsoft word format, and must be mailed electronically as an attachment; the written essay must be typed and double-spaced; applicants should include a minimum of six bibliographical references in MLA style; video essays must be 5-7 minutes long and may be uploaded to any platform; a minimum of six bibliographical references in MLA style should be included in the video or the submission email. Focus: Library and archival sciences.
