To recognize the importance of research with undergraduates; to recognizes fundamental research that constitutes advances in science as evidenced by refereed publications with undergraduate coauthors in leading scientific research journals, external research grant support, and the subsequent professional development of students who have participated in the research program. Qualifications: Applicants must be a tenured faculty member of a predominantly undergraduate institution; be granted regardless of race, gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, presence of disabilities, and educational background; nominees are not required to be members of the Society unless the submission is for the ACS Award for Team Innovation (which requires at least one team member to be an ACS member in good standing); the nominee's accomplishments should be specific to the purpose of the award. Selection criteria: Selection will be based on Committee criteria. How to apply: Applicants must be submit online nomination form; support letter writers include their prefix (Dr., Mr., Mrs., etc.), organization, job title, full address, email address, and telephone number(s); Citation (25 words or less) Include a description of the work that can be inscribed on the award certificate; Recommendation Letter (750 words or less) Describe why the nominee's accomplishments should receive the award; the letter should describe the nominee's work and how it is aligned with the purpose, eligibility, and/or criteria of the award, the impact on the discipline, the significance (scientific or otherwise) of this effort, and the benefits to the Society; Biographical sketch. Focus: Chemistry.
