Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grants

Available for undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate students who are or will be taking coursework necessary to become elementary or secondary teachers. Recipients must fulfill teaching obligations in high-need fields at schools serving low-income students. Eligibility: Must agree to serve full-time for minimum four years (within eight years of completing program) in high-need fields (bilingual education, foreign language, mathematics, reading specialist, science, special education, or other federally/state/local identified fields). Must attend a participating college and meet academic achievement requirements. Failure to complete teaching service converts grant to Direct Unsubsidized Loan.
